The River redefines the notion of a boutique hotel, offering a rare sense of flow and tranquility. The architectural composition unfolds linearly along an impressive water axis, creating a private retreat where contemporary luxury meets nature.

The complex consists of six independent buildings, each accommodating four high-standard residences. The ground-floor rooms enjoy direct access to the pool, while the upper levels feature private outdoor jacuzzis, offering different modes of stay. The layout of each unit ensures complete privacy and visual separation between the residences.

At the front part of the plot, the central reception building houses the lobby, the restaurant, and the breakfast & brunch area. The first floor of this building provides dual views — towards the sea and towards the interior of the complex, where the central organically shaped pool dominates, inspired by the image of a river.

Immediately after the central building, a generous outdoor event space unfolds, designed to host parties, receptions, and social gatherings. At the back of the plot, the parking area and service buildings for staff are located, including laundry and support facilities.

The heart of the complex is the “artificial river” — an ultra-length pool that runs along the entire development. The suites are positioned to offer direct access to the water, dissolving the boundaries between indoor and outdoor space. Clean geometries in exposed concrete and warm details in natural oak create an atmosphere of refined minimalism.

Every corner of The River Boutique Hotel is designed to stimulate the senses. From the play of natural light on the large glazed openings to the carefully curated material textures, the stay becomes a cinematic experience. Strategic lighting highlights the architectural levels, delivering a sense of resort-like seclusion and absolute privacy.

The design proposal for Cross House focuses on the clarity of volumes and the solidity of exposed concrete. The residence is developed across three levels (150 sq.m.), with the building mass operating as an honest shell that protects privacy while also organizing the functional flow of the 90 sq.m. ground floor and the 60 sq.m. upper floor.

The rear façade is deconstructed through large openings, eliminating the boundaries between interior and outdoor space. The garden, the pool, and the BBQ area form an organic extension of the living room, turning the courtyard into a vital place for everyday release and calm.

The strictness of concrete is balanced by the warmth of natural wood. With clear references to Japanese architecture, folding wooden panels act as flexible boundaries, allowing the space to transform according to needs while maintaining continuous visual and experiential quality.

Perched on an elevated plot in northern Evia, surrounded by lush vegetation and scattered rock formations, this 60 sqm residence is designed to dissolve into its natural surroundings. The architecture embraces local materials—stone from the area and oak wood interiors—to craft a space that resonates with honesty and simplicity.

Access and parking are positioned two and a half stone levels above the main house, offering a gradual descent into the dwelling and framing the experience of arrival. At the lowest part of the plot, three meters below the residence, a small pool is discreetly embedded into the landscape, providing a peaceful place of retreat among the trees.

An outdoor lounge, gently shaped by the land’s topography, encourages open-air living, while pine pergolas offer shade and spatial definition. The home reinterprets traditional Greek building principles through a contemporary lens—offering a refuge of calm, where architecture and landscape coexist in quiet harmony.
